I can’t work out whether the rates are as good on Horizon though? It only mentions “no foreign fees”
There is that, but I don’t spend that much abroad to worry about it too much. Having Google Pay and Apple Pay is better though. MBNA app is better than the Tandem one as well.
Most of my spend abroad goes on my Lloyds Amex card anyway, to get some Avios, but not sure that’ll be around much longer.
Hmmm…think I’ll stick with Tandem for foreign. I’ve ordered the new Virgin Atlantic for domestic. Tandem is a joke, but at least they have in-app chat now. All they need now is to make it 24/7…
I’ve got a couple of the fixed rate savers and the credit card. Have to say the app frankly, doesn’t do a whole lot, beyond listing your various accounts, aggregate-style and displaying your cc transactions.
The app itself was originally marketed as a money management tool linking accounts with spending but there’s no real attempt at spending insights. It has a long way to go to be able to justify it’s claim that you can manage your accounts within it. You can’t.
That said, good luck to them. Competitive saving and a money-saving credit card ain’t all bad.
But a fintech experience it certainly isn’t. No forum yet (outside the Facebook page which appears to be the primary route for feedback).
