If I make a large purchase and then split it with others e.g. picking up the bill at a restaurant and splitting it with my friends - I will see the full amount in my spending summaries - this will give me a false idea of where I am with my monthly budgets. I really like the idea of spending summaries but to be honest it stops me from paying as much attention to the ‘you are over your monthly budget’ messages - I just think ‘well it’s not really accurate, I’ll add it up myself later’.
I wonder if anyone else agrees that the spending summary totals should be calculated after subtracting any bill splitting and/or if there is any work on this planned?
