How long is the waiting list, and how fast does it move?

I have now got SNOOP and the sign-up process and then the connection to FD was fine. Well, actualy I boobed intially buit after that it was OK. Struggling a bit with TescoBank but Paul @ SNOOP is on the case. R-

I signed up a while ago, but just been thinking that I only really use my Monzo joint account so will it work with that fine?

Hey @technicolor thats fantastic to hear.

If you want to see what we’ve got coming up you can see our current timeline here https://future.snoop.app/ and our next app update is coming next week. So keep an eye out for that.

Hi @WillP79

there are about 8000 people in the early access list! We’re working through them as quickly as we can. If you’d like me to take a look, send me a message with the email address you signed up with and I’ll see what we can do.

@Juggy69 Snoop works best when the AI can see the account where your main spending is happening -so the app can deliver those personal ā€˜Snoops’ with suggestions on how you can save money.

We connect to Monzo (and it’s a popular bank on our platform), so Snoop should be great for you.

Cheers also on TestFlight if that helps get me access quicker :joy:

I’m quite liking snoop already discovered a few things I can use but my main spending is on my credit card are these to be added in future?

Good to hear @Timj1980!

On credit cards we’re working on more Open Banking connections right now - who is your card with?

The 2 I use are an Amex card and Amazon card that’s provided by NewDay

I hate to be the one to bring negatives to the thread, but personally, I just don’t get it.

I’ve had access for a week and I just don’t see the point, I’m really trying, but, I just don’t see it. I know it’s in beta and there’s more features to come but currently it doesn’t seem to offer me anything of value.

I hope I’m wrong and somebody can tell me what i’m missing. My ā€˜snoops’ are all pretty much next to useless. :frowning:

Sorry, I hope that I’m missing something

I do however like the UI, it’s different, it’s fast and it’s easy

Sounds good! Signing up now.

Awaiting the months to get through the thousands

The way I understand it @Addzy is we are presented with some fairly "standard’ Snoops to start with and the more insightful stuff appears once some data and spending happens. R-

I though that, but two weeks later and they’re still fairly standard, today I got a snoop saying I shop at Sainsbury’s a lot so should download their scanning and pay app, that’s fine I guess, a little bit helpful but doesn’t help me financially, just feels like an ad from Sainsbury’s.

As well as that, it’s not like I don’t already use that app every day on my lunch break anyway (I do use the app every day)

I’ll keep checking back, and see what the apps doing, but for now, I see very little value

I agree Addzy. Was quite excited to try an account aggregator as I don’t use any others but just havn’t found a benefit. Feels just like signing up to a service to just have a load of things advertised to me really. It’s a shame I like the idea of the app and how its designed e.t.c. just don’t really get it personally at the moment!

Totally agree

Well both you guys are further down the road than I am so I’ll just have to wait and see. Only legacy bank connected at presesnt - can’t do credit card for some reason. R-

I’ve been using it for a week or so now - and I have to say I disagree with Addzy and Joedmitchell. I’ve used a couple of the Open Banking aggregators and I feel like Snoop is trying to do something very different - and in many cases is already doing it way better. Everyone has their own opinion - but I am really interested to see where they take it. They published a roadmap of how they see the proposition developing and I think it has the potential to be very interesting. I’m going to stick with it and see where it goes. There haven’t really been any fantastic Open Banking apps yet - and I, for one, think this has lots of potential.

Glad I am not the only one that doesn’t love it at the moment (I know it is early days!).

I personally find the main screen really cluttered and quite overwhelming. It feels as though someone is throwing the kitchen sink at me, and as a new user that just turns me off. Could snoops not be drip-fed a bit more, at least initially? It is also annoying that I have a nectar card, and the nectar app on my phone, but there are several nectar related snoops telling me stuff that Nectar already emails me about quite a bit.

It would be good if you are asked a bit more when signing up to determine what is broadly of use to you. I have no kids, so seeing anything relating to children just clutters the feed. I also don’t like the ā€œlikeā€ and dislike" wording. From a psychology point of view, if I am going through pressing dislike for 75% of the snoops then I am naturally going to question why I am using it?

Some of the features in the works for the future look really interesting though!

I think that alot of the banks have just not included their credit cards in the open banking APIs yet. I can connect my Barclaycard, but HSBC won’t let me link my credit card yet.
