I really don’t like the fact that to see my savings accounts now takes more steps. I like having the pots on the main tab, so please either add the savings accounts there too, or at least list them on the Grow screen.
This is a poorly thought through UI change - the familiar term ‘Pots’, which is what I have several of set up, is still shown on the front page of the app, but is now empty…panic ensues, as one assumes something untoward has happened.
Instead, one now has to click ‘Grow’ (which does not include the familiar word ‘Pots’) > ‘Savings’ (again, doesn’t include the word ‘Pots’ in the UI) to see your Pots.
So, you’ve got users used to putting money in ‘Pots’, left the word ‘Pots’ on the front page with zero ‘Pots’ actually in it, and moved ‘Pots’ behind 2 different clicks which do not include the word ‘Pots’…tough to believe you couldn’t see this coming with some basic user testing.
I’d like the ability to see my ‘Pots’ within the section called ‘Pots’ on the front page, as it was previously.
It already annoyed me that I couldn’t see the individual pots on the home screen (only the total amount across all pots).
Now it’s not on the home screen at all!
I agree with all this, it’s so bad it made me register in this forum.
As a designer I used to absolutely love the Monzo app UX, but recently they started cluttering the homepage with suggestions of what to do with Monzo, not to mention the occasional pop-up, and now with this it’s official, the app has been en****ified (hey moderator this is a UX term, don’t ban this post). I no longer feel the experience stands apart from any other banking app and wouldn’t mind if I had to switch.
