They could most certainly remove the “you have a new insight” wording.
Guessing they want to see if they can see these things first before anything else. Then they’ll work on the polish.
I had my first ever Apple Pay fail today.
Used my Santander CC at a café I’ve used it at many times before and it wouldn’t work. On the third attempt I got a message to say that the payment terminal doesn’t accept this type of card 
Nationwide Visa worked fine, and the Santander CC worked fine at other places.

I’m remortgaging, and have ended up on a decent deal with Santander.
Why is it that the mortgage divisions of major banks get left behind when it comes to IT infrastructure?

then it turns out the offer is available online, but appears to be a pdf of a scan of a printout:
I assume there’s some steam-powered Abbey National mainframe behind all this.
(I should add that there is an Edge-branded online tracker, but there’s clearly something prehistoric behind it)
I was pleasantly surprised by the online tracker, but you’re right about it being a modern wrapping on a clearly very ancient system.
My Santander mortgage is only properly viewable on the web.
The app only shows my balance (excluding the offset).
New in the app:
Can choose link or QR code. There’s also a warning about not using it to act as a money mule!
Has been around for a couple of weeks. I’ve not tested it as I don’t use it as my main account.
I think it’s easy to create a link and share. I’ll try it later.
I do think Lloyds and Santander took inspiration from Revtags though.

I’ve had a deeper look and it definitely seems to be only Spain and Portugal on the TSB cards, vs what you get on Santander debit cards which is Spain, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Uruguay and the USA according to Santander’s FID.
I’m guessing they’ve just added the TSB card BINs to Spanish and Portuguese Santander ATMs so they won’t charge the fee on these UK BIN cards? Hopefully they can add the TSB BINs to other Santander ATMs across the globe soon.

Santander FID official wording is this:
If TSB means all Spanish and Portuguese ATMs then that’s an interesting decision 
People with TSB branded cards are not going to look for Santander fees/terms. The screenshot you shared first has no mention of Santander ATMS, may be if it is hidden in terms. Still customers would have grounds to claim if that were the case and they get fees on other ATMs.

That official wording is just for Santander accounts, and it includes all the other countries that don’t apply for TSB, so obviously they are still treating TSB differently.
The TSB message doesn’t say that it’s limited to Santander ATMs, so if they charge for using other ATMs there will be a lot of unhappy customers complaining.

Right, time for me to fly to Spain and test this out. Get compo money if they’re wrong 
Wording definitely does make it sound like it’s all Spanish and Portuguese ATMs.
Lemme ask them on X and hopefully they can clarify.
