It make sense when adding a new payee - the information is new and that’s when there’s the most risk.

What annoys me with Santander is making a payment to a previously used payee -

Sending £1 to an account that has had thousands paid to it tens of times.

Payment reason: Paying family

Summary of transaction: Continue

Massive wall of scam text that people may be scamming me at this time, and that criminals are extra wiley and may pretend to be by family etc: Continue

My shiny pound now sent

Asking for the reason and showing the wall of text every. blooming. time. desensitizes people from paying attention to it when it actually matters

My Santander app is having a moment today.

I’ve used my credit card three times today, yet the app isn’t showing any transactions for today. They usually appear immediately.

May be terminals used were offline, transactions will posts as soon as they get online

I used mine once and it has not appeared either.

One was an online transaction, two were Tesco.

Tesco in store uses online servicing, only pay at pump might be offline but that’s changed over the last few years.

The online transaction definitely reached the merchant because I have a receipt. Nothing on the Santander app yet, though.

If I’d known I was getting free shopping I’d have bought more stuff :joy:

You can now request a payment using a QR Code or link into your account. Similar to what Lloyds has in the recent iOS update.

Been offered the Select account, is there any actual benefit of having the select account that anyone has found over the edge? Seems pointless in accepting it with the key documents.

I have the Select, there is a specific savings account, but the edge one is better, and I think you can get the world elite credit card (£15 monthly fee),

Select is not an account but a customer type. You can be a select customer and have an Edge account (I do).
