Looks like this is replacing the Edge card, certainly better cashback on travel for me
Edit: Like a lot of Santander today, they introduce something new slightly worse than before like when Edge replaced 1-2-3

But the big question is:
What’s the card design? Is it the same as the one I already have?!
Seems like 0.25% cashback and fee free abroad is becoming the new norm
as I posted above, black card with the diamond pattern:
Edit: Sorry did you mean the new Rewards card?
Yes, just idly wondering!
I currently have the black one with the bubbles.
my Edge Credit is the bubbly version, and the mastercard logo is in colour
Uninspiring enough to not be worth my time
Would be better if the higher cashback rate was for a longer time, even if reduced to 1% after a year. May get it, but still happy with the NatWest Travel Rewards card for now
Is a 6th credit card too many credit cards? Perhaps I should wait until the first year of Lloyds ultra is up…
If you have a need, and get accepted why not? Just closed my 6th last month, another will go in August and Paypal credit will also be out the door as soon as it is paid off in 4 months.
That will then leave me with 3, and can get more in case a need arises.
I don’t really have a need but do enjoy putting all my spending on credit cards and either stoozing or getting that juicy cashback. A few of them are full ish at the moment, just paying the minimum until the 0% interest deals end. Currently spending on Lloyds ultra then monthly balance transfer to a Santander 0% interest card with 0% balance transfer fees.
Why would I spend my own money when I can spend the banks’?!
So you spend on the Lloyds Ultra then move the balance to Santander 0% and pay it down that way?
Why not just pay the balance in full on the Ultra?
Because then I would need to pay off the ultra in full each month. Which would be fine, I don’t spend above my means. However, balance transfering to my Santander card gives me 0% interest on balance transfers until May 2027, so I will fill it up over time, then pay off at the end of the period. Meanwhile the equivalent cash goes in the ISA earning 3.8% interest.
Santander just accepted me for the new Rewards credit card with £4,400 credit limit. Yay!
Does anyone know if Santander allow moving credit limit between different cards with them like Lloyds do?
Extended interest free period on the balance as they use cash elsewhere
Or move it on to Natwest BT card with no fee and 0% APR for 12 months
I definitely will have a look at options like this when it’s time. Will be approaching remortgage time though so might need to get my credit utilisation down to a more reasonable % ![]()
Seems unusual, I’ve been offered 0% on purchases on my existing credit card to the end of the year.
I want 0% money transfers ![]()
