There are a few places over the last year that required a cheque. Ironically one being DVA for my lorry licence even though they’re really pushing digital first.
On the whole I’d say I’d use a cheque every year or two. Last cheque book lasted me nearly 20 years.
No switch bonus just yet, but don’t know if that’s because it’s the weekend. I’ll wait a few more days before transferring the £1,250 again.
As far as I can tell, I haven’t had the switch offer from Natwest group before. I’ve looked through my old phone’s texts and nothing there suggests I got it last time. Plus, checking the dates of the past offers and when I opened accounts, they don’t line up so I should be eligible for this one.
I got the same as this. It has been attached to my old customer number and account but I’m being pestered to activate it. I also had to ask for a card to be ordered as one wasn’t ordered when the account was set up.
There is clearly something not entirely accurate about these surveys when First Direct and Nationwide do well when they objectively have some of the worst apps out there in terms of features etc. Nationwide often didn’t even open properly and had to restart it.
Even when I wasn’t yet a customer with them and something went wrong with the application (slight issue with my address), RBS was quick and knew exactly how to help. Couldn’t fault them so far.
It looks to be the same platform as the Barclaycard one, they just refresh periodically. Some brands have offers there all the time, others come and go.
