Not being hostile at all with this one - just an observation - but if I click/tap on your avatar, I get nothing. A quick flash of the Profile card, with no data and - gone. For users who have profiles, I can see their profile card details. For users who wish to remain more anonymous, I get the ‘This users profile is hidden’ message on the profile card.
It appears to be a very strange action - like the database of users doesn’t know your account exists or is active.

Even stranger, in a forum user/period-search, clicking/tapping on your avatar does result in a ‘This user’s public profile is hidden’ Profile card.
Does the exact same thing with my profile now I’ve set it to private. Discourse just doesn’t handle the private profile well in the tooltips. No conspiracy or broken accounts here.
Anyway, can probably get back on topic of Revolut instead of derailing further.

I think it’s always going to be a fairly subjective opinion on whether Revolut are going to get a licence, are a great EMI, or none of the above. Because we can only go off what we know externally.
Which, I think, is a large part of the problem here.
If you haven’t heard already, we’ve got some great news: your account is now eligible to receive domestic wire transfers through your US local account.
It’s cheap, too – there’s a flat fee of just GBP8 applied to every transfer, covered by the recipient.
To access your wire routing information, simply navigate to your USD wallet’s account details:
Go to the ‘Home’ menu
Tap on your total balance and select your USD wallet
Tap the three dots ‘…’ button to open the overflow menu
Select ‘Details’, then find ‘Wire routing number’ in the account overview
I think it means USD transfers to your US virtual account details, so no conversion needed by sender or recipient, Revolut then charge you the recipient £8 per wire transfer.
There could be a charge to the sender based on their bank I suppose but Revolut take £8 off you as their customer on inbound payment.
Add money by bank transfer to a local account (outside your home country)
USA local accounts via Fedwire (wire transfer): £8
Pay in €1,600 and make 3 debit card transactions a month to get free Revolut Premium.
Doesn’t seem a bad deal considering it includes travel insurances and purchase cover etc.
Is this a common thing with Europe banks? In the UK we either need to be Premier banking or pay a fee for perks (unless there’s a bank to get a free packaged account for little effort).
