We have had Bupa private health insurance for a couple of years, but as they are now becoming too expensive we are shopping around.
The other two ‘big’ ones in NI are Aviva and Axa.
Has anyone had any experience with either of them in terms of treatment and claims that you would be willing to share? They are priced very similarly (significantly cheaper than Bupa), with very similar if not identical cover levels, so not sure which one to go with.
I was with PPP before and after it became Axa PPP and always found it very efficient in processing and paying claims.
Once I was in my 50s, though, it just became too expensive to carry on with it.

I recently had to cancel Vitality to cut costs, and I found the overall service to be excellent. And very quick at resolving claims, plus the benefits with free coffee, cinema tickets, and the discount on the Apple Watch made it all in all - an excellent package. I hope to return when things get easier for me!
Although Benenden Health does seem interesting as a fallback…
