It would be very useful to have the name of the pot that a virtual card is linked to on the virtual card design, so when paying from apple wallet it’s much easier to distinguish which each card is.
I believe that’s a limitation of Apple (and Google) wallets, rather than a Monzo restriction.

I don’t think that’s possible, is a limitation of how card designs are displayed in mobile wallets.
I’m not sure it is though, because they can display text on cards, such as ‘investor’, so why not this?
Because that’s a single design, no different to having a custom design for Plus/Perks/Extra, or Premier cards with other banks. Having completely freeform text with the name of a pot a customer has defined is totally different.
When you add the card, they define which image they will show, based on the account type. That’s fine if there’s a defined list of account types, or a defined list of virtual card colours, as they’ll have a handful of designs prepared, one of which says Investor on it. But that’s still a static image. It’s not possible to have dynamic text on them. It’s the same reason why the virtual cards have pre-defined colours and aren’t freeform too.
