I’m sure you can pay by card but the one I go to said a cheque would be better (I did wonder why but never really thought much of it until this poll popped up)

Taking pics of cheques is so old now, just like cheques themselves. I’ve been able to do this for a while noe.

Being able to request one-off printed cheques would be beneficial I think - they’d just post it to you. Perhaps for a £1 fee or something?

Could include an idempotency key encoded as a QR code on the paper for security or something :slight_smile:

Definitely no to actual chequebooks though.

It required law changes in the UK to allow it, then when that was done all the legacy bank systems had to be changed to allow it (previously they were storing all the physical cheques in big warehouses apparently).

Better late than never though

I fail at that step: I don’t have a ‘Tools’ section in my app, or any other section where I can find this option…

I only have “Stop a cheque” there. Apparently you need to sign up for it somewhere, but I haven’t figured out where just yet …

The only place I would use cheques would be for school. Trips etc. They don’t accept bank transfers. Being able to print a cheque would be awesome functionality. I’d only use it 6-7 times a year but having the money taken from your account then printing a cheque would be very useful
