It would be really great to have a feature for adding a payee reference that isn’t used for sending to another bank but rather for organising your re payees who require the reference to track using an identifier.
When paying to organisations like HMRC and Tax free childcare , the reference is used up by an identifier that makes it difficult to track what the payment is actually for. Nationwide have this feature termed “your reference” in addition to the reference that is sent to the receiving bank.
