Open a Monzo Account

Hello, I don’t currently have a Monzo account, but I am interested.

I am disabled (left side paralysis), and un-fit for work.

I do not own either a passport, or driving license. The only photographic ID I have is my disabled bus pass (issued by the local Council). Would this be accepted by Monzo?

Heres some information to help you with your question:

To get started, you’ll need your phone and ID

To open a Monzo account you need to be at least 16 years old and live in the UK full time, with the right to reside here.

You’ll also need your phone and a valid ID. We accept your:

  • Passport
  • Driving licence (your provisional is fine)
  • National ID card
  • Biometric residency permit
  • Firearm or shotgun certificate
  • Electoral Identity Card issued by the Electoral Office for Northern Ireland

Hello - i’m afraid not - like getting a phone contract in store, you’ll have to get a passport - this is the same for any bank account

I am sure you’ll be able to get a passport pretty quickly

Apply online for a UK passport - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
