Notifications not working after changing android phone

Since changing to a new phone a few months ago all Monzo notifications stopped working. I’ve attempted all possible solutions already in this community.

  • checked app version is latest.
  • checked android notification settings are on.
  • turn android notifications settings off and on again.
  • check app notifications settings are on
  • turn app notifications settings off and on again.
  • uninstalled and reinstalled the app.
  • clear app data and and app cache .
  • checked battery optimization is off.

Still nothing. Nowadays, it’s a bit worrying not having notification when baking and there is no support :confounded_face:

OS: Android

Device: From Pixel 4a to Pixel 8a

App Version: Aways up to date with the latest

Did you try the uninstall, restart, re-install trick? That seems to work wonders for odd app behaviour.

Not an issue with the phone I’m afraid, it is easy to blame the phone but I’m confident the phone is fine. All other apps are fine. Same situation with the wife’s phone.

That did it. :tada: The trick is the restart before reinstalling. Thanks @tbutz

Glad you got it sorted.

Restarting is the key. It clears the memory on the phone so it has a clean install.
