New user tutorial - Monzo Forum

Okay I know I’m missing something simple. Ive followed instructions from several posts saying to message @monzobot saying start new user tutorial. Ive done that bit several times. It says to introduce yourself and pm @cookywook and @anon38211169. Done that. Nothing further seems to happen.

Sorry I know this will be something simple but I can’t find it in any previous threads!

I think the new user tutorial is meant to be for the forum.

Send it a message ‘start advanced user’

The start new user was a pointless couple of paragraphs so not sure if they’ve reworked the tutorials. The advanced is how to quote, blur and hide

Ah awesome, thanks. The advanced one worked fine and it gave me the badge for it. Still says I havent done the new user one though. Like you say I’m probably not missing much though!

I haven’t either because it gave me that pointless few paragraphs, maybe it’s setting up your profile pic etc and we’ve done that so it doesn’t see the point :woman_shrugging: I’m guessing we aren’t missing much

Hello! Perhaps it’s something easy but I cannot find how to create a new conversation so I’m replying to this one. Please let me know what to do if I’m doing it in the wrong place!
Tomorrow I’m travelling abroad and only today I found out about the monzo benefits. I downloaded the app, created an account but I didn’t continue with confirming my delivery address yet because from tomorrow onwards I’ll be abroad for a few weeks. I’d like to have the card with me but as I’m not going to be in this address for the upcoming days, is there a way I can have the card today asap even if I need to pick it up from somewhere? Otherwise, if I don’t activate the physical card (since there is no time to arrive to this address by post) is it possible I can use the online monzo for transactions, payments, withdrawals etc? Thanks you!

Nice to hear you’re interested in Monzo, I’d imagine it’s rather unlikely you’d get a card today by collection. All cards are sent via royal mail first class.
Monzo are a new UK current account (not a travel card) offering all the best features with the added bonus of being free to use abroad for purchases and a small fee for foreign cash withdraws above £200 every 30 days.
If you’re going to be staying the same location abroad for a few days Monzo could post the card to that location. If you complete the signup and then speak to in app support maybe they can arrange this for you?

Currently you can’t do anything until you activate the physical card.

This is a good be a good plan if it could work for you? Cards are sent tracked via DHL

We don’t currently offer same day delivery for cards I’m afraid - it’s something we trialled for a short while.

Just checking if we arrange something for you - I will drop you a DM once I have more information
