Did these dots not used to say new when it was a new thread?
Why the change if it did?
Looks like the likes are also just a number now rather than “X likes” which makes it more difficult, for me, to not fat finger the heart icon and like a post

The “likes” were taken out in the most recent Discourse release.
I’m not sure about the “new”/dot change, but it looks like that was discussed too:
I’d love to get more a handle on the forum CSS. For now, we’ll see if this actually changes how people interact with the forum, versus us folk that are used to it just being annoyed it’s gone.
I’m not annoyed it just looks like someones now replied instead of it actually being a new topic.

No news to share, and I had forgotten it had even changed. I don’t think it’s having any impact on the functionality of the forum
