I was literally just thinking how on par with Revolut a lot of this is.
The cashback is the same too 0.1% Europe, 1% outside, £12.99 for cover on purchases etc.

It may be that they’ve no intention to launch some of these but are using it to generally test the market, see what the popular elements are, and maybe get some competitor intelligence.
There’s the Two Together railcard, which has no age limits (other than being over 16).

We have considered this but I’d probably travel a lot more than he would want to travel with me ![]()

Fyi, looks like my screenshots weren’t from monzo in the end.
Did @Dan5 mistype or did he get told off?
Again
Did the OnePoll poll include the account options in the first post? Or was that from somewhere else?
(It feels like the OnePoll one is probably for Revolut tbh).
I mistyped, but it was pointed out that it could be misinterpreted ![]()

That does makes sense as I signed up to the ultra waitlist, however my privacy and marketing permissions shouldn’t have allowed them to email me this, there’s nothing specific in the ultra waitlist terms it just links to their regular privacy policy.
There isn’t really anything you can do regarding the spam.
The marketing company and it’s group list chase, nationwide and Santander as customers on their website, i shouldn’t get from any of those, but there may be more not listed.
I thought that too initially with the card colours.
I emailed onepoll they said they didn’t know, but they will ‘find out’.

This - looks Revolut like but then again another looks hot coral like.
My thinking is now it’s more generic industry research vs a specific bank. But we’ll see
I’m confused. I’ve only ever gone off this thread which you’ve linked to ( it shows as new package accounts incoming to me) and this thread that I’m posting in where the screenshot comes from.
Also Dan5 confirmed it was from Monzo and then said otherwise. Is discourse having a wobble?
Yes but my screenshot came from the “Monzo” one which looked quite Revolut to me. Your edit clears it up but to confirm again I was referring to the Monzo colours looking non Monzo like.
Anyway, good luck to Monzo, looking forward to seeing the end result.
I took part in the Monzo survey around a month or so ago and yes it was similar to the top screenshot with the different packs.
Also was given a £5 perk after completion.
Skim read the thread here so maybe have repeated some points, but I think it signifies a few things for me- or at least brings these thoughts to mind.
On the headlines - package names vs the actual contents of the package. So context. I work for a Brand, and in that Brand we do Consumer Researh - and often that tests multiple use cases for very similar propositions to see how they perform.
Some of that is purely cosmetic - Out of these [product designs] which one performs better within our target market - purely driven by naming, look, feel, context and the “vibe” they give off. I think that’s what the different Bronze/Silver/Gold, Plus/Premium, Budget/Saver/Spender type headlines are testing - and will influence their naming conventions based on what they think resonate better with the market
Edit to add; and the result of this research will highlight which concept illicits the best consumer response in purchasing behaviour; i.e. “your target market is most likely to buy Deisgn A”, even if the physical contents are the same
[note I don’t do Brand Things at the Brand so Brand People can probably correct me more gooder]
And I think that approach is really interesting - because it makes it feel like there’s a subtle shift in what the Product is; possiblty moving away from being “banking” to a “in app purchase app” / becoming wayyyyy more SaaS than they have ever been.
If you think back of how the bundled accounts looked when they first launched - there was way less focus on the how they were packaged (“Saver, Budgeter”, etc - this is now focus on you the user - this package is for you the Saver") .
So if nothing else I think it marks a change in how they are doing product development now; and while some of the things I’m keen for - I’m not a super fan of SaaSification of things / loads and loads of small recurring transactions in my life.
And I’ve just noticed I’ve got the Survey too - would just add that from an inclusion and diversity point of view; questions like this could be better
“Other” could be improved

Keen for other questions / insight into the survey ![]()
Maybe I had a different survey but it said “Complete” after I answered the gender/age/location Q’s ![]()
