I think the real problem is having two sets of notifications for the same thing 
You can disable them for chosen cards
Wallet > card in question > horizontal ellipsis > notifications > uncheck notifications
This won’t affect the Monzo notifications either.

So why is mine still using the old one then? 
Perplexing to say the least.
Only thing I can think is you need to remove all Monzo cards from the wallet, including Flex and Virtual but if you didn’t have these added in the first place then I’m all out of ideas! 
Edit: Only reason I say that was cause it was either Monzo or Apple told me that they get the icon by fetching it from the bank, so if a card is connected it will still be pulling the old one.
