Imagine if every time someone changed jobs, they called the bank. Maybe there needs to be an API to LinkedIn.
I disagree.
Your opinion is as valid as ours.
In this instance I think calling the bank to update your employment info when they haven’t asked you to is objectively a waste of anyone’s time, regardless of age.
Besides that, given the number of accounts everyone here seems to have, it would be a full time job for some people
Nobody is trying to get you to fit into any social norms. Don’t get frazzled. You’re talking with a collection of people that spend lots of time every day talking about banks and banking. Those in glasses houses etc. People want to discuss that with you and I think it’s great that you have an interest.
You just seem to do some bizarre things, then go on and on about it. Usually with some sort of Cifas fear.
If I said I phoned my car insurance to tell them I’d filled the car with petrol, or my house insurance to tell them I painted a wall or Apple to tell them I’d erased my phone and restarted, you’d all think I was wasting mine and their time. This is exactly the same. Complete waste of time for everyone involved.
Your age gets mentioned a lot because you mention it all the time. The other child poster used to do it too, on all of his accounts. Maybe once you’re a bit older you want to stop talking about your age!
…plus Barclays & HSBC also have in-app sections to quickly update income / employer address.
He’s a minor and probably not a child
Barclays too
Aren’t all minors technically children?
I think it’s subjective. Not sure a 17 year old is a child. A person of 17 can drive and prior to 2023 a 16 year old could get married with parental permission. I’m sure everyone would have a view on this.
I don’t think it’s subjective. The law will tell you whether the person is an adult in all circumstances.
Legally, under 18 = child
Although ‘children’ welcome to join the army! In fact you can kick things off before you even turn 16 - from the website ‘You can start your application when you’re 15 years and 7 months’
Have to agree to differ.
It’s literally not up for debate, the law states any person under 18 is a child. There is no grey area, there is no “oh but they are XYZ” they are a child:
Being a child doesn’t mean you can’t do things or join things. It’s a strange misunderstanding some people have: “well they can join the army so they can’t be a child”. Actually, they can. It’s not shipping them off to the front line though.
Oop.
Someone’s spit their dummy out.
I think the discussion about age (and the discussion about that discussion) has run it’s course - let’s get back to NatWest chat here please
Well it’s oldest constituent I think is Coutt’s at 1692.
Does that make NatWest an adult now?
