So theyāre right, you do like FlexPlus!?
Maybe they think you should collect a set of FlexPlus accounts. If you breakdown they would send more than one recovery truck
Has Nationwide finally fixed the issue where payments to other Nationwide accounts just show the account no / sort code rather than the persons name? Just noticed a couple of recent payments seem to show the name now
Just what this country needs⦠an even higher welfare billā¦
This isnāt the daily mail comment section fella
I made my standard 3 payments out of my account after I got paid today, and the third one asked for my card reader.
I force closed the app, made the transfer again, and it went through fine ![]()
Iāve not used mine for about a year now and I regularly pay from my account each month so Iām happy with that!
Just set up a new payee and didnāt need to use my card reader to make my 1st payment
But itās true!
So true!
Interesting article, thanks for sharing.
Itās the thing that mystifies me about nationwide. A glacially slow transformation on the outside but clearly high levels of modernisation internally.
Whereas other banks have either gone for lipstick on a pig as their approach or are somewhere in the middle.
Hopefully this means great things to come. I like nationwide and would tempted to move across but theyāre still just a little too legacy for me.
I use Monzo for day to day and NatWest as a backup. Think Iāll switch NatWest over to nationwide FlexPlus.
Already paying Ā£12/m for AppleCare and Ā£100/y for travel insurance. With the fairer sharer itāll be cheaper.
Any idea how good/bad nationwide phone insurance is? Iāve never had to claim under AppleCare but nice to have if someone on a bike swipes my phone in London. ![]()
To read that Nationwide uses SAP systems doesnāt fill me with any confidence in their ability to manage my account.
Twenty years ago I was working at British Gas and they introduced a SAP billing system. It was shockingly bad, and difficult to use. So bad, in fact, that British Gas sued Accenture, the consultants whoād designed and introduced the system for them.
Any good? I would say very good from past experience (twice). Claims approved in minutes after filling online form. I have only ever done repairs no theft replacements though.
I have never been asked to provide proof of ownership of the device, just IMEI, phone number that was being used in the device and then they give you details of where to send it after paying their excess.
I use Nationwide fully and no issues - just missing spending alerts. Have recently had to use FlexPlus travel insurance for the first time and it was simple and quick.
They might be a bit legacy but they also have legacy levels of customer service and trust, which is the key selling point.
Nationwide also introducing a call checker in app according to their recent survey.
