I wonder if it was first come first served?
Most places have very good allergy information and are very upfront about their standards of hygiene and practices to avoid cross contamination so it’s possible to make informed decisions, however with the very bad publicity Pret has suffered with regard their poor labelling i tend to avoid them. As for the coffee? I wouldn’t really know as my nearest branch is 70 miles away!

I do find the Pret cases to be strangely blown up by the media. There was always signs saying that if you have allergies to inform a member of staff, and that due to the hand made nature of their products, nothing could be guaranteed to be free from something.
Their labelling was literally like anything made fresh - not required. There’s zero labelling in tonnes of places I visit and yet Pret is singled out by the media.
My brother has intensely severe allergies that essentially would kill him if he even had a small amount, so we would never go somewhere that doesn’t label things in the manner we require, but it was always possible to make informed choices because if there is no information = no visit.

Pret open so much that no doubt you’ll be within 70 metres of one soon 
Though I hope not to much to the advantage of those who are richer

Though… I get filter coffee in my own travel mug so it’s 49p each time. I might not actually earn any points if it’s 1 point per £1

This is extremely exciting. If the Monzo Plus offering will provide some bonus within the points programme (more points, improved rewards etc.) then I imagine I will be sold on that too.

At the moment I dont see any personal value from plus but if you give me some elements of a supercharged “wuntu” almost then I might re-evaluate e.g:
