Shame the rental car cover didn’t make it through to the latest iteration!
I’m trying to redeem the Zipcar discount, but the link through the app is saying something went wrong,
Anyone know why this is happening?
The code most have driven off somewhere

might be worth flicking co-ops a message, could just be because there changing a few things over with Plus that backend wise has taken a little hit
Prioritising the important things then ![]()
I don’t care if you call it swag, loot or merch. Some people paid for it and didn’t get any (including me).
For me I am now unfortunately even further off considering getting Monzo Plus than I was before. This has made it much more complicated… I would prefer to be able to choose individual perks and customise my own account rather than be stuck paying a premium for things I do not need (e.g. would have loved to have Airport Lounge access alone but have no need whatsoever for £400 fee free withdrawal or travel insurance - so now it is too complicated and expensive for me to consider personally). Hopefully you will consider the options to either go back to individual customisation or give people the options for customisation and bundles
THIS. I’ve gotten far better quality swag from companies at career fairs, hackathons and recruitment events for free, from quality hoodies to powerbanks than Monzo’s cheap, low quality t-shirt they charge me for.
And me.
And me (despite being told that it was sent to me ~2 weeks ago).
Wow just got through all these posts, I picked the wrong week to ease off the forum!
To see plus go from a choose things to create your own bespoke bundle to set bundles is a bit of a shame as it just seems with set bundles you’ll be more likely to be paying for something you don’t need. I already have travel insurance so don’t need that but liked the other elements of the traveller bundle for example.
I think I was one of the first to suggest airport lounge access and I’m a bit disappointed if it is going to cost £25 a visit - I just don’t see the point as you can usually visit most lounges for £20 through Dragonpass. I was expecting something along the lines of visits without any extra charge either unlimited or a set amount in a 12 month period. Eg. Priority Pass does a 10 visit bundle for about £160 meaning each visit costs £16. I would have thought that there might have been a bit more buying power to get this for even less but maybe I am wrong.
Apologies if this has already been discussed but, have I missed something about Monzo “swag” (now merch) being sent out?
I signed up to the early bird £3 a month offer and liked the idea of receiving swag at some point over my contract as promised. Have people been requesting or receiving items?
I received some stickers with my new card when I signed up for the £3 early bird offer if that counts?
Some (I think most) people got stickers with their cards. Subsequently @Sheri posted on the community asking for DMs from people who hadn’t received swag. Not everyone saw this but some people got T-shirts and stickers from my understanding. There was also swag available at both the Plus events in London that have occurred.
The impression I’ve got and this is just my opinion is that the “swag” was always meant to be at events rather than sent out but this wasn’t very clear on the communications.
In related news on the new Supporter bundle you will be sent swag “periodically” but it’s now called “Merch”.
Thanks for clearing that up.
I’m new to the community so would never have known about the post by @Sheri which is pretty disappointing.
I knew when signing up to plus that some of the perks were of no use to me which I was fine with. I moved full Monzo purely based on the 1.5% interest, swag and the “unknown offers” that we’re in the pipeline.
Living in Cardiff, the London events were never a goer (which I accepted). What’s a little annoying is the merch only seems to have been handed out at these events
All of which is why Monzo didn’t really think through offering “swag” to early adopters, if it was only ever to be with a caveat of:
…if you order a new card.
…if you come to an event.
…if you happen to spot one post by a member of the team offering it.
None of these were actually the original contract.
On the face of it, it looks like nobody at Monzo thoroughly thought this through. ![]()
And another thing. I’ve read every post in this topic (though I won’t be able to recall them all). One thing that stands out for me is the number of people complaining about the withdrawal of the interest option of, I believe, 1.5%.
Now, I’m not the most mathematically gifted of people so I’m expecting someone to take extreme joy in pointing out any errors in my calculations, that said I can not fathom why the meagre interest offer on a current account is that much of an attraction?
By my calculations, if you’re paying £6/mo for a Plus packaged account, you’d need to leave £4,800 sitting static for a whole year just to cover the annual cost of having the packaged account in the first place.
Even those on the early bird offer (paying £3/mo) would need £2,400 balance maintained in the account for a year.
For as little as £1 you can open a regular savings account (with a legacy bank) that gives you 5% and allows instant withdrawals.
If my maths is wrong, do let me know. Either way, I don’t understand the draw of the meagre interest and how so many Monzo customers hold it so dear to their hearts that the removal of that benefit has them rethinking their accounts?
Like the rest of the packaged account bundles and their lacklustre offer, it’s a case of marketing winning people over.
I am not aware of an account giving you 5% on your savings with instant withdrawal, would you mind pointing me to an account offering such high interest?
Who do you think I am? Martin bloody moneysavingexpert Lewis? ![]()
(Correction, minimum £25, not £1, but still less than the annual subscription to Monzo. See, I told you I wasn’t Martin Lewis)
