So what happens to existing Plus users who don’t opt for one of the new bundles- specifically regarding interest? Is interest being removed completely, or just no longer offered to new customers?
If you continue with your current subscription, you’ll continue to receive interest until the end of your minimum term.

Lounge access at £25 isn’t exactly great - a lot of places will just charge that anyway, and even N26 offers it at £15 a visit.
I don’t mind so much about the interest, but dammit I just want phone insurance. I don’t need to insure my flat, I don’t want insurance for my laptop, I just want good old fashioned “Here is my phone, please give me a new one if I break it” kind of insurance.
From what I read too, is the metal card only available for the Merch pack?

I was OK signing up to Plus at first as I knew you had a lot planned for it. A few months went by with no news, then interest came along so I was happy that was subsidising the fee.
Now this no offering is even worse, and unless things change I will be cancelling my membership completely.
The Traveller - £9pm
- Insurance - Fair enough, this could be useful. But for people without families this can be a lot cheaper elsewhere.
- Withdraw Cash Abroad - No use to me at all, always pay by card.
- Emergency Cash - Again, no use… I have other cards, and have never needed ‘emergency’ cash ever.
- Offers - You can pretty much get the same offers elsewhere, no need to go via Monzo
- Airport Lounge - £25 is a rip off for most basic lounges, I get lounge access when travelling with work anyway and my Amex card gives me two free visits per year plus a £20 charge afterwards.
The Home - £12pm
- Contents Insurance - Fine, this one is useful. Not sure how much it costs elsewhere, don’t currently pay for this anyway so wouldn’t need it via Monzo.
- Phone/Laptop Insurance - Never lost a phone, or smashed a phone screen so would be a waste for me to pay for this.
The Supporter - £4.95pm
- Swag - Was supposed to receive swag on my existing plan but that didn’t happen, either way is it really worth anything?
- Prize Draw for Metal - Now I do want a metal card, but not a lucky dip to get one
- Custom Monzo Me - Had my name anyway, not bothered about having a custom one
- Custom Card - Minor, not bothered if it’s Hot Coral or not.
The interest effectively brought the £6pm fee for Plus down to £1pm, which was acceptable for the basic plan without addons, but now the Supporter plan is £4.95pm it’s essentially a price increase. So I no longer have any interest in buying any of the bundles.
Being able to individually add things to Plus was a good idea in my opinion. For example I may one day want to buy the Contents Insurance, but I don’t want the phone/laptop insurance with it as I just don’t need it. Again, travel insurance - I don’t need or want anything other than the insurance, just let us add things on individually again please? 
I want to support Monzo and keep being a Plustomer, but right now these new packages are awful. To be honest I’d be happy with just a Metal card and interest on my pot balances!

You can also ‘buy’ lounge access for cheaper at most UK airports. I just 
when I read that. N26 offering something better than Monzo -

That is a terrible price. Most loungekey memberships are £15 per visit, and most lounges are under £25 if you book in advance.

From the blog, the card is still a common offering across all Plus customers. It’s not a part of the Supporter bundle.

I love Monzo and the mission they stand for. But for the first time I feel they need to be called out. Plus was a promising proposal. The radio silence while the worked on it sounded good but then it lead to this mess.
This is god awful. I would have much preferred the old strategy of bolt ons at a individual level
