Premium Benefit - instead of purchases being 3 months interest free, could the team not increase the interest free period to 6 months? I’m thinking about cancelling mine but this could make me change my mind…

A workaround there is simply having a pot where you set your own limit by limiting the funds in the pot.

I don’t think so. Payment fails.

You’re perhaps thinking of Bill payments from pots.

These Pocket Geek stores are …… Tried few times with child phones (iPhones) via Nationwide Flex. I have no words… I’ve made two complaints and got a replacement phones twice. Thanks to Nationwide. Screws were different colours, they just replaced phone with less memory, glue everywhere. There are issues with repair centres as well, but they are minor compared to these stores.
I know about Assurant and IPhones so use Apple Care for my phone. But they are brilliant at repairing Samsungs

If your phone is lost or stolen, having the ability to choose same day replacement is an improvement.

Each to their own circumstances of course and generally it’ll be next day delivery without paying the additional £50.

I’m not so confident about repairs, which is why I opt for Apple Care.

Hey, Happy New Year (if it’s not too late to say that :eyes:)

Thanks for all the comments on the new Membership Home, glad to see you’re liking it.

On the topic of Joint Account Plus and Premium features, I’ve got some sad news unfortunately. Following my last post on the not-so-nasty bugs we found during staff testing, we’ve now unearthed some slightly bigger bugs in further staff testing. This means we’ve decided to deprioritise this work for now, which is not how any of us wanted to start the New Year :disappointed:

I know this isn’t welcome news, so I wanted to be transparent with you all about why. As some of you have spotted in the app teardowns, we’re working on improving our Plus and Premium accounts. We’re hoping to launch these improvements this year and the team are currently prioritising work on these changes.

The changes include updated features, insurance and some stuff we can’t talk about yet. Our ultimate goal is to improve the value and experience, because we hear the feedback from your recent conversations in this thread loud and clear that the current offering isn’t giving you the features and value you want.

I never want to come here with bad news, as I’d hoped to be launching three new Joint Account features by now. But we’ve had to review what we’re focusing on and adapt that to the wider goals of the team.

These features are still coming…just not yet I’m afraid.

I’ll keep you updated as we progress, but for now, I’ll try to answer any questions as best I can.

Ross

It’s good to get an update, but I can’t lie, it’s really disappointing.

You’ve seen how much Plus/Premium for joint accounts is wanted, it’s the most popular/requested topic on here, this thread is further proof. So it doesn’t give a great feel to see “Ahh, this is hard. Let’s do something else” rather than knuckling down and getting it over the line. I understand it might be a very big set of bugs that just isn’t feasible to fix, previous architecture, time vs money etc.

This is very disappointing for something lots are/were waiting for and I doubt will ever happen now.

Another lot to say about nothing.

Great work monzo, long live disappointment in your empty paragraphs.

This is no doubt a tactical buffer to see what Chase has planned in Feb.

Needless to say - is this topic going to get updated to 2024…and then 2025

Thank you for the update. Nobody needs to come here and update us, and especially with unpopular news it is much appreciated.

Thank you so much for the transparency. I know most of us really appreciate it!

Firstly thank you for the candidness, I’m sure this will be super disappointing for the team, and I know on here it will be very disappointing. Has anyone checked in on @davidwalton yet?

I am patiently waiting on this, the details on features and insurance sound really good. The main issue I’ve always had with premium has been the high cost for sub-par insurance (looking at other packaged accounts such as Nationwide and HSBC et al).

Can you be a little more specific than 'We’re hoping to launch these improvements this year" - I’m not expecting a set date, and I understand why you might not. But it’s really vague and super non committal.

Surely if something is having issues it’s imperative to prioritise it not deprioritise it? What are you prioritising now?

Appreciate the update but it makes little sense to me that you can be such a large company and simply don’t continue with something because it’s too hard.

Thanks for the update, @rossmonzo. Hopefully the team prioritise these updates soon.

In the meantime it’s convinced me to finally move my joint account over to Starling to test out their free implementation of virtual cards tied to pots on joint accounts.

For Monzo, it’s going to be a long wait it seems.

Gutted :disappointed: but the update is appreciated :+1:

Hey @JIMMWX, learning from my last few posts on the Joint Account features timeline, I’d hate to promise any dates just in case things change. :grimacing: Sorry for being vague, but I’ll keep you all updated as best I can.

Thanks @Ordog :slightly_smiling_face:

I fully appreciate this and thanks for coming back to me. I really appreciate when y’all drop in here and update us though. This is what makes the community great.

Looking forward to what changes might come at some stage to premium.
