Just checked and I have the new Plus tab. Worth checking if it’s live for you as well. Will post more thoughts after I’ve had a look through.
Screenshots welcome!
So far, it seems to be a (very nice looking) reordering of existing features. Nothing new that I could see but it looks much better and highlights what I use and suggests what might be useful. I really like the design.
In case it’s not clear from the screenshots, the ‘your top features’ section scrolls horizontally.
Nice nice! Any new offers? (sorry had to laugh, cause it’s 0 chance they’ve changed).
I’m actually considering resubscribing for custom categories so I can better track my 2024 spending (and get the live export).
But are they worth £5/month? My budgeting mind says no
First thing I checked! Nothing new as yet
Wonder if this is paving a way for Plus/Premium on Joint.
Updated for me on premium! Although still got the Offers tab the RAC and that lot
Nice screens are great but I’ll get excited when @rossmonzo updates us on the upcoming changes.
They look ace though
Hopefully an update soon
Agree! 100% Monzo plus is NOT worth the subscription at the moment
For you.
Welcome
Agree that upcoming changes would be welcomed
It’s hard work posting in here. Let’s accept that it’s a rubbish deal for almost everyone.
All the ‘features’ available in Monzo Plus are free with other providers.
I agree the product is poor value at the moment for probably most people, but let’s be fair here.
I don’t buy into that sort of hyperbole sentiment because it never stands up to literal scrutiny in a fair comparison.
Are those features individually available for free from a range of other providers somewhere? Yes.
Is there often another form of cost associated with that? Also yes, either in the form of your personal data, or a worse implementation (though I no longer consider Monzo’s open banking to be the best in the industry, it was for a good while)
Is every single feature of plus available for free elsewhere at one single banking provider? No. And that’s really the crux of Plus and where it draws much of its value from.
That isn’t the case and never has been.
It is the case. Obviously it’s not a single product, but if you want virtual cards, go to starling. If you want open banking use (for example) Halifax. If you want to budget open a spreadsheet. If you want an orange card then that’s just weird.
What Plus gives me is the best combination of features. Starling’s virtual cards can only be used with a pot/space, so that’s out for me.
I like being able to see all of my accounts in my Monzo feed and included in Trends (and they are all supported in my case). Only Emma competes with that but is getting very irritating with its constant promotional pop-ups.
I also like the blue holo card but that’s just a bonus because I rarely use a physical card.
Any idea why my Google Pay card is orange (I’ve got Plus but never applied for a blue card) yet my Joint card turned white on Google Pay despite not upgrading it?
Does it make you feel all tingly when you call it orange?
