Monzo Plus and Data usage

So on a few other threads - where people have mentioned that they can get a lot of the monzo plus features for free - the counter has been (And some times by monzo staff) that when you use free services, your data is used to make the service profitable.

So are Monzo saying that if you pay for Monzo Plus your data will not be used or is that just an assumption on the part of users?

It will be used, but by Monzo, I’d imagine.

No bank would share your data without your consent, apart from with CRAs.
