I was in SF a couple of weeks back and the BART ticket machines didn’t seem to like my Monzo card. Has anyone else encountered this, and if so, were you able to get it to work?
I’ve always bought and topped up my BART card at a Walgreen’s when in San Francisco, but Monzo has always worked on their BART machines.
I’ve never had any issues with this, but you have to use a machine that accepts Credit Cards as for some reason foreign cards are often treated as CC. I definitely had it rejected from any machine that didn’t take CC and it wasn’t always obvious!
I had issues in New York, but had to choose credit card and enter a random ZIP code to get it to work.

Didnt appear to wife for my wife in Boston either…
I did the same thing in New York (selecting credit card, entering a random PIN) and it worked fine. I’ll have to try that next time with the BART.

Haha oddly enough I still recall my zip code from when I lived in the US but that’s a good one to use too!
