Monzo Money Tips

I once made a cheeky reference to drugs and hookers on here (I forget the context, but it was light-hearted fun) and was asked to change my comment, because that kind of content wasn’t appropriate for the forum. Fair enough. I was happy to change the comment, there was a reason, it made sense, etc.

So to see a similar kind of thing being referenced on the social media channel is a bit of an about-turn in my eyes. Either we can discuss such “social spending” or we can’t.

Not forgetting the new ‘Narcotic’ spending category!

Hopefully this thread gets some traction. The facebook post should be taken down ASAP.

It seems Monzos proof reader might be on Holiday this week! :sun_with_face:

I think it’s all intentional.

I’d just worry that their desire to appeal to a different demographic, will actually turn off the majority…

But what do I know?

I didn’t notice the f bomb till the second time of reading. So I assume whoever proof read it, did the same thing.
They skim read it and then went that’s fine.

To be fair it took me a while to spot that  and your image is pretty small :stuck_out_tongue:

Ha, I just copied it from my other post - Didn’t realise it would shrink!

Perhaps, but someone wanted it in… I mean, that line is literally the joke that makes it worthwhile (for what it’s worth, I laughed).

But it’s a little too close to “being your mate”, rather than offering me financial advice.

This might be the greatest mockup I’ve seen of Monzo to date.

Fun fact: it’s not a mockup – I inserted a real feed item into my account using the Developer API.

Ok, I admit that wasn’t a particularly fun fact.
