With Monzo Mobile out there now, and the fact that it adds a significant non-banking feature to a banking app, it would be really helpful to have ways to get to the Monzo Mobile section directly instead of finding it in the app.
These are iOS-specific, as I’ve been off Android long enough that I don’t know what the standard design idioms are like over there anymore. This is all assuming there is no intention to create a dedicated Monzo Mobile app to give people direct access to a management overview for the product.
Some of these suggestions could also apply to other app features, but for me personally they’re more important for Mobile:
Monzo Mobile Quick Action
A really simple fix, adding “Monzo Mobile” as a Quick Action on the app icon’s long-press menu (sorry, ‘Haptic Touch menu’) would make it significantly easier to navigate to quickly from the Home Screen.
“Open Monzo Mobile” action in Shortcuts
In line with the Quick Action, adding the same action so it can be used within the iOS Shortcuts app would also be helpful, and would allow users to create their own Home Screen shortcut to launch directly to Monzo Mobile if desired.
Monzo Mobile Widget(s)
The way the data balance is formatted in the app already is almost perfectly designed to be made into an iOS widget. A widget that also lists plan size/price/renewal date may also be useful to some people.
