Regarding BoS - I registered for Halifax online banking, onboarded these login details into Monzo and it shows up. It tells me it’s a Halifax card, but is a temporary workaround at least.
Ohhh of course! Will give that a whirl, cheers.
Update: BINGO!! Thanks very much.
every single day
good point
Connected my Lloyds credit card yesterday and I used it since then but I still got this on my screen.
Any tips?
Wait…probably until the transactions clear in a day or so. (I don’t know how Lloyds update their output but it may only include cleared transactions)
Hi @Jami
Any updates to provide on this? Is this still actively being worked on or parked in its current state until after September?
New layout lends very well to showing a transaction feed.
Hey,
Right now we’re taking a bit of a pause on this project, waiting for a few other pieces to come together:
- The new navigation
- Open banking APIs that support Credit Cards
We also needed to bolster the team working on Monzo’s own Open Banking APIs - so are helping there to help meet the deadlines.
That being said, we do have a basic version of transactions working, and it is showing for staff in the new navigation - so it’ll definitely be the next thing added for this feature - we just need to get our Open Banking APIs ready for deadline day before we swing back to this.
Hope this helps.
Is there a list anywhere of all the paused projects?
Haven’t you seen that pile of whiteboards that reaches the moon?
Appreciate the update
Is there a way to sign up for this? Can’t see it in my Labs tab.
That’s because it isn’t in labs
You add a card from the bottom of your account screen (below all your pots).
If you get stuck search in the help section of the app and follow the guide.
Out of interest, is there any view to pulling in Current Accounts from 3rd Parties through open banking in the future?
Not heard it mentioned explicitly by Monzo, but see no reason why not. Fits well within the purview and intent of this activity
@Jami I’m getting this error this morning on my HSBC linked card. I had to reconnect, get the success message and then when redirected goes to this.
It’s right next to the list of active projects, to the left of the finished projects list which is buried under the pile of ‘we thought we’d finished this but out customers don’t think so’ lists which, frankly, are beginning to smell…
Hey - that looks like a temporary issue on TrueLayer’s side - usually it’s a case of retrying a little bit later and it’ll work. Hope this helps!
Connecting to other Current Accounts is definitely part of the long term plan here. Most likely it’ll be something we look at once the Open Banking deadline has passed, the dust has settled a bit, and we can connect to both Current Accounts and Credit Cards with the same APIs.
I’d love to see MBNA and jaja added to the list of credit cards that can be viewed.
