Which app is that? I don’t do much social media…
Facebook, it came up as they liked a comment on one of monzo posts ![]()
Annoys me that they use the term “reversed”.
They didn’t reverse anything, they just didn’t send the payments in the first place
Those numbers are absolutely staggering. Do people pay no attention when sending money‽
Click bait for sure. The undo payments feature doing its job.
Including one butter-fingered customer who sent £2.5million by mistake.
And that’s enough of that article ![]()
Is that an exclamation mark and question mark combined? ![]()
It’s like those who have their eyes closed entering the details and send £1 first to make sure it arrived ![]()
Known as an interrobang ![]()
Have to agree, I’m pretty shocked by the numbers. I wasn’t expecting that many.
Today I learned! Thank you ![]()
Isn’t the default limit something like £10,000 for transfers, so they would need special permission from Monzo to send this much money?
Also I just tried to send my wife £2.3 million - right now as a test - and I got a message saying my balance is too low - so they must have millions just sitting in their account?
What if it went through, and got held for fraud checks while your account is also overdrawn by that amount? ![]()

It doesn’t make it that far, literally as soon as you type an amount over your available cash it says you don’t have enough - you can’t progress.
Pretty sure £1m is the account limit
There’s no limit to how much you can have in your account, but the bank might suggest you find alternative arrangements if you had multiples.
There was a post I’m sure years ago from someone at Monzo saying there isn’t a technical limit but there is a practical limit whereby the amount would effectively destabilise Monzo as an institution.
I don’t think I’ll be getting to that level any time soon.
Same, but of course if Monzo wanted to spare me a few million I wouldn’t be averse to it ![]()
