Currency
Belize Dollar (BZD). The Belize Dollar is pegged to the US Dollar at a rate of 2 BZD = 1 USD.
Card usage
Mastercard accepted in many places, but Monzo doesn’t always work.
ATMs
Scotiabank. No charges. Worked perfectly. (April 2019)
Belize Bank. Fees around 5%. Bad Experiences - money was charged to the account, but none dispensed (April 2019).
