Am very excited by the NFC activation 
Very neat feature and very useful. Might have to lose my card so I can test it out 
Nice. I’m guessing this is going to be an Android-only feature because Apple don’t have an API for the hardware on iPhone.
NFC card activation is only available during signup/current account upgrade for now. It hasn’t been implemented for activating replacement cards yet… That will change soon.

What you can do with it remains to be seen however

My wife upgraded to Current Account and got her debit card today. App now gives you option to touch the card at the back for activation and there is fancy tone as well when card is near the phone.

Yeah it’s cool and I was also surprised that my wife who only uses Monzo occasionally and had just prepay got invited to CA and received card in 3 days. There are investors here still waiting for invite

How come I don’t have a Monzo user number? It says 0? Is it because I didnt have a pre paid card to merge?
That is very very weird, do you mean in Settings? You should be around the 470,000 mark if you are a new Current Account customer.
Yeah… That’s a bug.
