At this very minute we have 374,244 Current Accounts and 209,702 prepaid accounts left to upgrade.
Looks like in the last 25k activations that’s about 15k of conversions and 10k new signups in the last seven days
583,946 accounts plus all the additional add ons etc…
easy a million by the end of the year I reckon
Does that mean roughly 40% of prepaid accounts have yet to upgrade?
About 45%
I’m wondering if that’s a big number?
What, exactly?
Sorry, I meant - are you (or Monzo) concerned that such a large proportion of prepaid customers haven’t upgraded?
I don’t feel a general concern. I think we understand some of those customers will be lost, because naturally people sometimes stop using a product so we do have a bucket of inactive users. They won’t be keeping up with their Monzo emails, the blog or even opening the app to know there is an upgrade. There are also people who simply do not want a current account with us.
Whilst losing customers is not ideal, we hope our future developments will always attract new and old customers alike.
We have advised prepaid cards will stop working April 4th, and that won’t change. The road to a current account will always be open though

@anon77734705 any idea what the length of the queue is for new sign ups / average wait time? Guessing the demand is sill high.

5k new users in just a day or two! Nuts!
Love seeing this counter tick up and up

That’s a useful graph to follow
Looks quite healthy
I wish my Pulse looked like that!
That would be a healthy account

So then folks…bets on the 400k? I’ll go 1pm Thursday…
