Monzo Cash Back Offers (Basic Personal Account)

Hi I’ve been with Monzo UK for a few years now along with my partner both have the basic Monzo personal account and a joint Monzo account and I’ve literally just found out that the cash back offers we have on our Monzo accounts are quite different which I really do not understand why each Monzo account holder has different cash back offers offered to them some of which are better than each others??? I would like to know why this is? For example one cash back offer is for B&M Retail offering 8% cash back on a £20 in store spend which I found on my partners Monzo cash back offers so I went on mine to activate my B&M cash back offer because I’m actually employed as a store manager for B&M retail so would benefit me greatly as I spend quite a lot while working there obviously so I logged into my Monzo banking app to find all my cash back offers are completely different and I’m not offered the B&M cash back offer at all….so what’s the deal with that!? I don’t get why one Monzo customer would be offered this and not other Monzo customers??? I thought all bank cash back offers would all be the same offers for everyone….can either Monzo or anyone shed a light on this as I’m quite annoyed that I can’t get this cash back offer and it would benefit me more than my partner at the end of the day….

The offers are variable and differ between customers. There’s no way to change it.

Mine will be different to yours and so on, it’s some weird metric on where and how you spend.

It can’t be changed; most cashback offers such as with Lloyds differ between customers.

I checked my active B&M and it’s 7% when spending over £20.

Oh well.

It’s to encourage you to spend where you typically dont.

Presumably you get some sort of discount so you do ALL of your B&M spending and your partner does little to none?

So to B&M you look like a customer they won’t want to spend any money on enticing to shop there, whereas they’d want to spend more on your partner. It’s that simple, but there will also be a bunch more profiling around age, location and other retailers you’ve shopped at.
