Baroness Denise Kingsmill (the chair of Monzo’s board, who we don’t often hear from) did her thing on a panel at Business Forum London a few days ago. Hopefully we’ll see a video of the panel at some point but in the meantime, there were some great quotes on Twitter, particularly this one -

(I think the reporter might have got the 170k figure wrong - that’s probably the number of users, rather than people on the waiting list).
She also called for a two-track regulatory procedure in the U.K. to approve new challenger banks that was less paper-based and onerous on smaller newcomers. “We are seeing more banks come through in the U.K., but it’s not easy.”
