Mondo Chat - How does it work?

The mondo support chat feature in the app is incredibly cool. I was just wondering from a technical point of view how you do it? Was it build ground up, or do you guys use a third party to manage messages/support tickets?

Do you think you will be able to keep up this “live support conversation” feature as you grow into a large successful company as thousands more start using it?

I can’t answer the second question, but for the first they use Intercom, which is amazing!

For the second question: chat based customer support is far more scalable than doing it in-branch or by phone. It isn’t trivial to scale, but much much easier and generally scales logarithmically rather than linearly.
