Yes to be fair at least they still let you roam in Europe without charging you
I think there is a strong chance it will to be honest. Especially given three is pretty dominant with cheaper mvno players as well.
I’m still looking at EE… if I apply for an EE SIM only plan on the EE website, it looks like the monthly rental won’t go up until 31 Mar 2025 (though other services, extras, etc will go up 31 Mar 2024 - ie, next week).
But most of the cheaper EE deals are through other websites, and most of them read as though the line rental will go up on 31 March, and don’t say anything about that being 2024 or 2025. Unless anyone knows for sure, I’m going to hold off buying now because it would be crazy for the line rental to increase 10 days into a 24 month contract.
I think cuz the increase is less than 30 days away it’s already incorporated in the current price/they can’t do it without sufficient notice.
So 2025 would be right IMO.
Scancom do some business EE sims which I think worked out 12.50 a month previously (about a year or so ago).
Thank god Three have esim.
Mum has a new phone, and tried changing everything over herself, which she did well but not been able to iMessage or make calls.
Anyway, she seems to have lost the sim between old iPhone and new ![]()
Would’ve been fine if she hadn’t tried doing it in a hospital bed and now changed wards ![]()
Super hero son came to the day, Three app worked fine as moved seamlessly from old phone to new, and managed download esim and get her back up running within a minute of being there.

It’s been a wild week but thankfully everything is looking good.
Train from Wrexham to Manchester.
Smarty (Three) absolute rubbish. O2 fairly faultless.
Work trip last week from Newcastle to Bristol and o2 and EE were both useless
Have done that cross country route loads over the years and ive also used Three and Vodafone in the past and they’ve not been much better
Similar thing here. Never trusted Lyca so I have removed their eSim.
Card blocked as soon as I saw a " Active Card Check "
Me and my wife been having card attempts. We thought it was something else but definitely feels the same. See attached.
@Will_i
I got one of them come through an hour or so earlier.
Few weeks back I get weird SMS messages going to my new Lyca eSIM, now I nearly get money scammed. Would never go back to Lyca. I was only using them for data but I’d rather have slow internet than get hacked
I only use it for eu roaming data. Plenty of other options. Just their mse deals are so cheap…! Good while it lasted anyway.
About 5 more people with the same merchants, and a few more with different merchants - all cards used with Lyca
I got a Lyca one time password sent to me at 6am. Now it seems they are trying to get into the account #thesagacontinues
