For me, ordering at the bar has always resulted in the pub name and logo being used in Monzo. Ordering via their app results in “J D Wetherspoons” in Monzo, that feels like the correct way to do things. Friday is the first time I’ve seen app orders come through as some random pub name lol.
Thankfully those transactions were switched back to J D Wetherspoons yesterday afternoon lol.
My local pub is now showing up as a JD Wetherspoons but it is not. It has nothing to do with the chain and I cannot figure out how to get Monzo to fix it.
Open the transaction, scroll to the bottom and tap the option I’ve circled below. Once you’ve suggested the change hopefully someone at Monzo will pick it up and fix it.
If there’s no other way of fixing it, start a chat. It’s the only way of directly contacting Monzo and will hopefully incentivise them to fix merchant data if they are getting increased customer contacts due to dodgy logos!
Yeah, I’ve got 3. One was successfully changed, 2 I’ve reported a combined total of 20 times, contacted COp’s today and they said they updated it, but it’s not showing on my end…
Yep it was fine since forever and now this is just odd how it suddenly happened not even the merchant data has changed so why the logo and name has gone I will never know.
The old iTunes logo really baffles me. It isn’t on any official website or social media as far as I can find. Someone worked really hard to submit the wrong logo.
This morning Capital One which since day one was correct is now incorrect. As today is payment day for me, about 75% of my merchant data that was correct last month is now incorrect this month .
As this is a core feature of Monzo it is now completely unusable for me.
I did reach out to COPs to get some of these changed, but they point black refused and have allowed the old incorrect data to persist where previously the data was correct. I just do not get this.
I leave the forums for 5 months and this problem not only hasn’t been addressed, but seems to have gotten worse, hooray!
I’ve submitted maybe a dozen in the last few months. Most haven’t been touched, one was changed correctly and one was completely munged (an online transaction turned into a POS transaction where the address was their Twitter handle…).
I’ve done the same with my local premier. Weirdly if I pay using JA it says Premier Local and with CA is says Gill Convenience. Not sure how that’s happening! Also the logo has never been updated to Premier. Disappointed
