Merchant Data Corrections

I can take a good guess. Someone is either trying to take it from twitter or something. Another thing to check is that the logo change wasn’t taken from an international twitter of the company.

We managed to clear down a few last night while the queues were quiet

I totally understand everyone’s frustration with this, especially as it’s out of your control once you’ve sent the feedback.

I want to improve the overall journey on this, but I think waiting for @kieranmch s new tooling is the best thing to do for now, so we can implement through that. We’re talking and feeling out a notification centre internally as well. Once both of these are in place I want to push for automated responses to feedback - not sure how to display it just yet.

Rachel was magnificent at merchant reviews and she was one of a very few doing this. We now have a couple of hundred people that could be rota’d in to complete these tasks, and, as you can see some things like logo changes or names can be subjective.

We do want to line this up so we’re all on the same page, Monzo doesn’t hire people who necessarily think the same though!

I’ve become an Activity Lead recently so it’s part of my squads responsibility to make sure we’re getting these done. While the Bizops team was in place, our new hires were not being taught anything but the basics on anything other than chat. This means there are gaps in knowledge of processing more targeted tasks such as merchant reviews. We have training booked in, both self study and we are looking to have lead training as well for these tasks.

Right now we’ve got a limited pool of COps to do this, and their primary focus is Chat. We are definitely aware of this, and it came back under the Activity Squads remit just before Christmas, but self study training started yesterday and will be continuing for these sorts of tasks

In the meantime, thanks for being your awesome selves :hot_coral_heart:

Sounds awesome  hopefully some others that I sent through that need rejigging get updated Amazon for one and The Co-operative food the logos have reverted to the old ones again and seems like its happened with others so if you see them or anyone else does and they get sorted amazing <3 but keep doing an a great job @anon77734705.

I would appreciate it if someone could stop changing “Co-op” back to “Co-op Food” when I submit them…they’re mostly not “Co-op Food” any more, and the ones that are need different logos cos they’re not under the Manchester-based Co-op.

This table (nicked from Wikipedia) shows which branding each iteration uses, and so the ones saying "2008 version) are “Co-operative Food” with green branding, while 2016 cloverleaf are just “Co-op” with the white cloverleaf on the light blue background.

Co-operative Society Number of Outlets Incarnation of The Co-operative brand
The Co-operative Group 2774 2016 cloverleaf
Central England Co-operative 261 2008 Version
The Midcounties Co-operative 234 2008 Version
Southern Co-operative 213 2008 Version
Scotmid 206 Own Version
East of England Co-operative Society 132 Own Version
Lincolnshire Co-operative 84 1993 cloverleaf
Chelmsford Star Co-operative 42 2008 Version
Heart of England Co-operative 33 2008 Version
Channel Islands Co-operative Society 26 Own Version
Radstock Co-operative Society 16 2008 Version

Appreciated for putting this list up similar happened to a few I shop at I know the ones in my area as Co-op luckily that’s still the same but The Co-Operative Food got changed to the blue & white co-op logo which is incorrect it was right before as well.

Once Monzo get their merchant grouping in order, they should have a very similar list to the above to know which merchants get which names and logos. There’s only one Co-op left in Crewe that is a “The Co-Operative Food” with green branding, but it’s a Texaco garage so it just comes up as Texaco anyway lol

When it’s full order up and running the list will be very handy and wow only one left I guess coming under a Texaco isn’t so bad then lol

Yep. Most Co-ops around Crewe have been sold to McColl’s, but the handful left are fully rebranded.

Ah fair play I’ve been to a few McColl’s and used Monzo there and it seems to be alright ^__^.

I go to mccolls occasionally but the food just isn’t as nice :frowning:

This is true it doesn’t come close but if you’re grabbing something quick can’t complain lol.

Hi @anon77734705 !
Can you show this to the trainers (don’t want to say names on here)
Might be good to show the COps as they are training that they are a different.

Thanks for the detailed response @anon77734705

Much appreciated

This what I really love about Monzo and makes me feel a bit sad about finding myself with occasional grumbles

Co-Op is now Co-op Food
Iceland is now Iceland Foods…
What happened? Who is hungry ? :))

Let’s just hope Co-op goes back to that and The Co-operative Food gets updated too as for Tesco that hasn’t changed as far as I know.

Don’t know how often this gets checked but how would you update this one it’s just odd seeing a human as logo for Heathrow Airport Terminal 3

Well the bottom of this page:
https://www.heathrow.com/shops-and-restaurants/events-in-the-terminal

Has a twitter link to @HeathrowAirport so I’d use that.

That’s what I was thinking I don’t know whether to change the name as well but might just do it and see what happens.

This is a Simply Coffee machine in a Formula one auto centre in Stoke-on-Trent. Presumably same at many other places nationwide. I’ve submitted name and logo corrections but this should be locked as various locations could be submitted.

Also Northern Rail don’t exist any more. It’s just Northern now, or “Arriva Rail North” if you’re one of those people :joy:

Anyway of adding some logic for Crowdcube transactions. Every new Crowdcube investment needs it’s data corrected and the naming convention seems to be: Crowdcube (Company). Can the company part just be made a reference, please? :grinning:
