They must’ve spent too my money trying to make themselves appear bigger than they actually were. I think of all the mattress-in-a-box brands, I saw their adverts the most.

Wonder if eve’s Channel 4 sponsorship has been pulled. Wouldn’t make much sense to continue advertising when its online shop is gone.

I wasn’t around (in the forum, not generally) when this topic was started, but I’d like to chip in that I have a Dunlopillo Royal Sovereign and it was by far the best purchase I’ve ever made in my life. We bought it just as my (now chronic) back pain was getting to its worst, and I’ve slept pain-free ever since, it’s just amazing.
Isn’t the problem that made.com is also in trouble?

Yeah - and I’m not surprised based on my experience.
I ordered a wardrobe that was available for express dispatch within 5 days. They sent me an email saying that the dispatch date had slipped to about 6 weeks. 6 weeks came and went without any contact from them. I asked for an ETA and they simply said that they didn’t have one any more. Given the choice between cancelling or waiting indefinitely, I cancelled, and I wouldn’t rush to order from them again.

Made is definitely a lot of style over substance.
Got Eve mattress myself - hope Benson turn them around. I really like their stuff (including the bedding - it’s really good quality)

Only throwing this here, because they seriously wanted to buy up Eve when it collapsed. Shows how stupid the management of this company are by publicly declaring they were thinking about it.
Made.com seemed pretty useless in my experience, I moved house last year and pretty much all big ticket items had delivery timeframes of 12-36 weeks.
I mean I get it, covid, supply chain problems etc but other retailers seemed to do a better job of getting stuff in much more reasonable timeframes

Worst of the worst it would seem, I’ve looked at a few things before but always thought, nope, no. Something doesn’t feel right, glad I’ve never made an order.
They did have nice stuff though, I have a few pieces from Made, they look great and are well made from real wood. For the price they were great buys

Dwell is probably the only good alternative, but I do think it’s a bit more expensive. Not a big fan of John Lewis or Wayfair for furniture. Habitat sometimes. IKEA stuff just wears so fast, I avoid it

Same. I agree John Lewis is good quality but in general, I do find it either to be a pretty boring design, or sometimes they have interesting designs but they are massively overpriced.
Funnily though I almost bought the Barbican sofa a few years ago! Didn’t end up buying one at all in the end. My current sofa is actually a John Lewis one too - Groucho leather sofa and armchair I was given by someone. Quality is great, just a shame it’s super uncomfortable!

Not a mattress, but do any of you have any pillow recommendations? I find that they can be really hit or miss.
What are you looking for in a pillow? Comfort or support?
I have an Otty pillow that came with my mattress. Took some getting used to as previously I used piles of duck pillows. But it actually seems to work quite well and supports my neck better than my previous pillows did (no more sore necks from waking up having slept funny).

Not totally sold on memory foam pillows if I’m being honest but I’ll check out those premier inn ones for now while researching others.
Same tbh, last year I ordered a bed from them - took 6 delivery driver visits to get the right bed. And even then it wasn’t sorted.
First delivery - gave me someone elses order
2nd attempt - they collected the previous order
3rd attempt - they deliver box 1 of the order (that they had collected from the customer they accidetnally delivered to) - the box was open and the contents damaged.
4th attempt - they deliver box 2 of the order
5th attempt - they collect damaged box 1
6th attempt - they deliver a brand new box 1 + 2
When I put the bed togehter it was missing some screws.
Took about 4 weeks to resolve.
