I think they’ll split the shares so each one will half in value
Yeah I thought that too. So we all have double the amount of shares but the price is around £11.
Exactly that
It’s a very US thing to not split them though, a high price per share is far more normal there than here, but splitting them makes more sense to me unless the US expansion goes amazingly well very quickly
How much are round 1 investors smiling today?
IMHO - i think you’re right… IF (and it’s a big IF) the IPO takes place next year, which i think is unlikely… but you never know
Personally i’d like to see Monzo expand their existing services and ensure the API drive is well underway with leading service providers, prior to an IPO.
IPO in US or UK
People called me crazy for asking £10 per share on reddit like literally 2 days ago.
Personally, I can tell you a lot. Lovely news to wake up to on a lazy Sunday!
For me, I hope they don’t IPO for a few more years. They still have so much growth potential before they do that based on both customer growth and feature/service growth
Also if you are selling or thinking about selling your monzo shares, I really do think you are mad at this stage!
I hope they don’t IPO - otherwise there will be nothing stopping me from selling, and knowing my luck I will sell on day 1 and cry on day 2 when the share price has doubled!
Personally, i’m smiling ohhhhhh sooo much! What great news!
Your reply is too late to make the Guardian, unlike @brentonhill who got name checked and everything!
Info and discussion over here:
That’s hilarious
Hi my quoted buddy. Do we need an agent?
Dammmiittt if only easyjet had wifi, i could have been famous!
Did they not like my username. Used my quote but no namecheck.
Maybe entice the guys at Monzo to create a new Forum Flair for those that get name-checked and quoted?
I have up to 1141 Monzo shares to sell, please PM / DM me if interested with serious offers.
£7.71
According to your forum flair you don’t
Getting that fixed via Tristan. I have 995 from the original round and 146 on D round.
At what price I wonder?
