Would be great to make tye locked pots locked! Currently locked pots are only locked until you unlock them, which defeats the idead
It dont need to be a hard lock, but something thats not so easy to unlock
Example: if you opt to unlock your pot you need to wait 7 days for it to release.
These pots need to be less tempting and not so easy to unlock
They were lock locked when they released but they found that people kept wanting to unlock them early and flooding support with requests so we ended up with what we have now.
Now they’ve made it almost impossible to get to chat maybe it would work now 
But thats the whole point in having pots that lock and pots that dont
The current locked pots, are only locked until you hit the unlock button. Seems pointless lol
They need two pots, ones that lock and ones that dont
Maybe another way to look at it, given that pots do not pay interest, is to take the money you would put in the pot and hide it in another account for example my rainy day fund is with chip. That way everytime you open the Monzo app you don’'t see a pile of money there waiting for you.
If I ever did need the money I can just switch it back to Monzo.

But Monzo offer locked pots, which should just be locked
They also offer pots with no lock,
So the product is already there for me to use. But for someone reaosn the locked pots are not locked. I dont understand the logic. Apart from a few people that locked their money away then needed it again, well put it in a normal pot then
I can’t remember where, but I think someone from Monzo stated they’d done some research and decided that the ability to unlock a pot yourself was the right level of friction.
And the impact on CS from having to regularly unlock pots/people accidentally being left without access to funds etc, probably means that second option of ‘monzo can unlock’ is possibly too much friction.
They have this though. The feature you want is for when someone locking it, someone else (e.g. Monzo) unlocking it. Very unlikely to happen for the reasons above I think.
