Lloyds Banking Group are changing all their credit cards to Visa instead of MasterCard.
Interesting, is about the only bank I can think of recently that’s switched from Mastercard to Visa, most seem to be the other way round (aside from RBS switching to Mastercard and then randomly deciding to issues Visas again).
My NatWest Mastercard expired and I got a Visa instead…
All my Lloyd’s and Halifax debit cards are already VISA, however, of note to me, is the reference to credit cardholders too.
My Halifax Clarity card is currently Mastercard.
I already hold two VISA credit cards with free FX, so really do not need a third on VISA, so may influence my credit card portfolio come 2026/27.
Nothing that I am going to worry over atm though tbh
Same group as RBS though, I don’t think that’s a permanent switch, they’re issuing both at once which is more of an edge case.
