It’s hard to tell before you go unfortunately, unless anyone else has been there already.
Perhaps there should be a special section of the community which contains one thread per country @anon50039658 / @anon38211169?

Something like this?
Yes, though perhaps a little more structured and either merging any duplicate country threads into the existing one, or locking the creation of threads and only allowing replies to existing ones
As you say, aybe @anon38211169 can help with that. It would be interesting to experiment with making post’s Wiki’s too…
@alexs @billinghamj Good points guys, I will look into how we can consolidate similar or matching destination threads, and also if we can lock the creation ofduplicates. Will keep you updated on this one as I think it’s going become quite an important reference point as the travel report feature evolves.
Using Discourse’s wiki posts in each thread may be something to try in the travel category. That way anybody with the regular badge on the community can keep the first post up to date.
Just added the country to the beginning of each topic to try and help you sort things out
Travelled to Spain, France and now Italy and working perfectly
This is nit picky but while I think consistency is generally helpful, I’m not sure it’s necessary to add Thailand to the beginning of ‘Mondo In Thailand’. Perhaps adding the country’s emoji to each post would be a good way to group city’s posts instead (although I realise that not all flags are available)?
Totally agree - I did look funny when I did it but it’s consistency versus not trying to change the OPs description.
I had a look at the Discourse Forum but haven’t managed to find a User Guide to see how it could be made better - I need to read up on wiki posts as mentioned by @RichardR.
But now that we’ve got @anon38211169 then can rearrange the furniture how they see fit
Just returned from Dublin for 3 days, Monzo worked perfectly. No problems and no fees.
Just returned from a trip to France. Very happy to report that apart from the damage deposit on the car hire, I used nothing but Monzo for the whole week. Even using Monzo at the pay at the pump petrol station.
Also take a look at this thread. Info on ATMs abroad which work with monzo card.
Hmmmm did a day trip to Alderney in the channel Islands the other day. They use GBP but also issue their own bank notes well Guernsey do.
Got this on arrival which is fine I suppose.
The only spending I did was paying for dinner but it seems to have not recognised that. Possibly because it was a trip where the spending was in GBP…?
Not a major problem just thought someone might like to know!

Off to New York and other parts of the states at the end of the month so should be able to give some feedback on travel reports in America
Perhaps there needs to be an option to opt in and out as need be.
This could get quite annoying to some:
I suppose an ‘I live near a border’ option?
Certainly seems like either you should be able to toggle it or perhaps qualify certain locations as being ‘usual’ and therefore not deserving of a travel report
Like the idea of being able to select certain locations that don’t require travel reports
I think it would be useful under enough circumstances to justify inclusion - not just for problems like @evan is having, but also for people who regularly work in an office that’s in a different country, or have a holiday home etc.
I mean, it’s not beyond the realm of reason that the system could ultimately recognise this stuff without the need for a user to define the countries that are regularly visited.
For some reason refunds are not coded into the trip report. I had a couple of instances where the transaction went through and then failed so have a debit and then credit record. However, my trip spending is skewed as it only picks up the debit sides of these transactions
