I wouldn’t want it to say Ā£400 left to spend if that 400 was all overdraft :eyes:

getting really confused with my home screen balance report - I have enabled summary reporting -

today went out for sunday lunch, cost Ā£75, person I went out with paid back Ā£52 so my spend today ends up as Ā£23 - OK - yes I understand a payment balanced against a repayment - all good despite the Monzo user coming in as P2P for some reason ??? - the same person then also sent me back Ā£90 within 5 minutes in the same location - I gave them some cash - the two repayments are in my eating out category from the same Monzo user, one comes in as P2P with code and one comes back as the named individual, one comes off the spent today total, one doesnt ??? seems like its very arbitrary which payment comes off the balance - all repayments today were in the eating out category total Ā£196 in, Ā£75 out, yet Ive spent Ā£23 — :man_shrugging::man_shrugging::man_shrugging:

Hi! Very excited about this new feature! I think it has been mentioned but my problem is how ot splits money in into transfers, friends and top ups. Some dont allow to be included in categories, unbalancing everything - plus I’m getting two or the transfers from friends as ā€œtop upsā€. If money in could be all treated in the same way that’d be great.
Thanks

Will the spending Donut of Doom mean the end of the pulse graph? They both have kind of the same end goal, predicting when you’ll run out of money.

Yippeee! I can go out and celebrate when the Pulse graph dies…it is already a flat line if you spend on the days your income comes in and then don’t have transactions regularly

I find it useful…

…and it looks like monument valley at night

One gives an insight spanning a month, the other just tracks your progress along it.

I’ll pop @anon44204028’s dream and guess not so likely.

Mine just needs the heart monitor flatline tone to make it complete.

What if it was filtered, to hide bills and committed spending, and only show available cash?

That would make it more of a downslope at least…

:+1::question:

I have 0 left, which means I have some left over? And I don’t have 0 left, I have -Ā£495 (going into my overdraft in 5 days with a standing order in my account).

I’ve just had my first salary payment into my Monzo account, but Summary is showing it as a transfer and still showing me the ā€˜Add Salary’ button, whilst Salary is greyed out on the Income card. Is the issue in Monzo recognising my salary as salary? Or maybe it’s because it’s still April and something different will happen tomorrow?

EDIT: Figured out I had to click the calendar (is it as calendar?) icon top right and then Set Payday, not very intuitive. I get paid last day of the month, but it’s assumed my pay period is 30th April to 29th May, presumably the full release will have an option to set the salary income date as the last working day of the month, which I think is quite a normal routine?

is it over £500 and have you set it as salary?

When I click on a feed transaction and then toggle ā€˜Exclude from summary’ on or off it immediately crashes the app. When I reload the app it shows the action was completed.

I’ve had this a lot, only reason I’ve disabled it again for now. When it’s more stable I’ll be straight back on it again :+1:

Sorry I’ve not read through the entire thread so this may have been said but I get the last day of the month so I got paid today. If I select that as my salary it says my date range is 30th April to 29th May but I won’t get paid again until 31st May.

Hey Michael,

For now, your month will reset on the 30th May, and you’ll get paid 1 day in to your new month.
We are planning to allow the end date of your current month to be adjustable by a few days either side to handle being paid early/late - but that’ll come in later updates.

Hope this helps!

The iOS crash after updating transactions is fixed in this week’s app update. Thanks for reporting it!

Eep, you’ve found some strange behaviour for our dial there!

We’ll be resisting these rules and tweaking them so handled cases like yours. Thanks for sharing!
