Joint Monzo Account

HI,

Just wondering if getting a Joint Monzo account is the same as a normal joint bank account?

I.e if i get one with my partner who doesn’t have the greatest credit score, will it affect mine?

Yes, it is the same as a normal joint bank account. You will be financially linked.

Just curious. What is making you question whether Monzo is like a normal bank? :slight_smile:

To be fair, Monzo is not like a “normal” bank in many ways and isn’t that why it’s great?

It’s pretty much identical to getting a joint account with other banks, with the proviso that you both need to have individual accounts first.

It’s not normal in the sense you can’t share an overdraft in a joint account.

Every other High Street bank offers that.
