Hi Monzo team,
I’m a big fan of Monzo overall, the experience is sleek and intuitive, and it makes managing finances feel far less tedious. However, one thing continues to trip me up: I can only access our joint account pots through my personal account.
In my view, pots linked to a joint account should be easily accessible directly through the joint account view itself. It feels confusing and unintuitive that I have to switch to my personal account to view or manage them, especially when trying to keep joint finances clearly separate.
I understand some users may prefer it this way, but it would be hugely helpful to have an option to personalise the layout, for example, allowing users to view and manage joint pots directly from the joint account tab. This tweak would really enhance the experience and make joint account management much smoother.
Yeah so all the pots for my personal and joint account show under my personal account. The pots designated for the join account do not show up in the join account when I click it. This in my view should be separate or at these there should be an option for this because it gets so confusing when I’m trying to locate the pots for joint account. I’ve had to mark it in a specific colour but this is not ideal.
Is this a simple misinterpretation of the Home screen layout? Further detail:
Home screen - shows accounts at the top (‘card’ images) with Pots, Savings & Investments*, Mortgage*, Cashback* & Insurance* sections below (*section may not be applicable/available depending on user preference and account tier)
tap on a card at the top to get…
Account screen - shows the selected account details at the top (‘mini-card’ image) and only transactions below
So only the Home screen shows the designated pots to display (regardless of whether they belong to a Personal, Joint, Child or Virtual) and a selected Account screen never shows any pots.
