I can see that working in good weather but in a storm, or even a decent gust of wind… suddenly you’re heading towards the mountain jet propelled. Not even aircraft will take off in some of the conditions mountain rescue have to deal with.

Good that they’re trialling it, but I’m not hopeful.

Marines are testing a version now
